Lindsay Foundation
How Allium Helped the Lindsay Foundation
Allium created a medical research programme for this philanthropic Foundation to fund, based on the Trustees love of animals and wanting to support health initiatives that made a positive impact in the community.
Born and raised in rural Australia, Jo Lindsay along with her Kiwi husband Brendon, established the Lindsay Foundation after selling their successful New Zealand manufacturing company Sistema Plastics. With over $10million a year to distribute, Allium created a world first screening and diagnostic tool using medical detection dogs to sniff out bowel cancer in urine, and reduce the colonoscopy wait list putting patients at the front of the queue that are more likely to have bowel cancer.
The Foundation continues it's financial support totaling over $1 million dollars in the past 5 years.
Fierce Females
How Allium Helped Fierce Females
Allium helped facilitate the transition of this Gold Coast business to charity status which enabled them to grow rapidly in their first 6 months helping a larger number of ladies who have been affected by domestic violence.
With Allium's sister company, Blue22 - Events for a cause, we were able to connect Fierce Females to a community of over 100 Gold Coast ladies who consistently raise funds for local Community charities.
Greencross Health / Unichem and Life Pharmacies
How Allium Helped Greencross Health / Unichem and Life Pharmacies
Allium helped promote Greencross Health's Bowel screening kits through it's connection with Bowel Cancer Foundation Trust. These kits are available to the genral public but were not recognised by Health departments for follow up if required.
This resulted in a dip in sales. The charity helped to overcome this hurdle by funding and facilitating follow up colonoscopies when there was a positive test result that required further investigation.
These tests were promoted within the community to increase community engagement and awareness through Bowel Cancer Awaeness Month with media and press releases.
Merck sharp Dohme (MSDNZ)
How Allium Helped Merck sharp Dohme (MSDNZ)
Allium helped to facilitate community access to their unfunded bowel cancer drug, Keytruda, by promoting their patient cost share programme within the bowel cancer patient community with support from patient oncologists when relevant to the diagnosis and treatment plan.
Allium also wrote a submission to the New Zealand Government in support of Keytruda to help the successful funding of the drug through the governments subsiding of prescription medicines.
